The United Kingdom has appointed a manager to oversee the implementation of comprehensive law enforcement and justice reforms in the British Virgin Islands.
The disclosure was made by Governor Daniel Pruce.
A review was conducted of the structures, resources, conduct, and standards across law enforcement agencies.
The findings highlight numerous areas requiring improvement, with 138 recommendations put forward.
These recommendations span various bodies, including the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, His Majesty's Customs, the Immigration Department, and the Prison Service.
The newly appointed implementation manager who arrived last month has already begun working with various agencies to address the numerous recommendations outlined in the controversial review.
