Deputy Chairman of CAFFE Anton Thompson
The election watchdog organization, Citizens Action for Free and Fair Elections [CAFFE], will be deploying more than 400 volunteers across the island on Monday to monitor election day activities.
This was confirmed by Deputy Chairman of CAFFE Anton Thompson, in an interview with Radio Jamaica News.
"Most of them will be located at polling stations (while) some will be roving in various areas in each parish," he said.
Mr Thompson conceded that, with there being more than 7000 polling stations across the island, his organization will only be able to strategically deploy observers to a fraction of that number, with special focus on those divisions that are expected to be "hotly contested".
