CCRP condemns Gregory Park attack which claimed senior citizen's life

The Caribbean Community of Retired Persons (CCRP) has condemned the firebombing of a community in Gregory Park, St. Catherine which has claimed the life of 72-year-old Naomi Gocul.
 
Miss Gocul died at hospital days after suffering severe burns while trying to escape the inferno.
 
CCRP says it is demanding justice for Miss Gocul and the victims of the attack which also claimed the life of one man.
 
The group says elders are constantly in fear especially those who live in violence-prone communities.
 
CCRP has called for supporting stakeholders to create a safer environment for Jamaica's vulnerable elders.
 
More than 40 people were left homeless after hoodlums set fire to 11 homes in Walkers Avenue, Gregory Park on August 12.
