The police in St Elizabeth are reporting a 32 per cent decline in serious crimes so far this year when compared to the corresponding period last year.

Superintendent Coleridge Minto, the commanding officer for the St Elizabeth Police, revealed that 208 serious crimes had been recorded in the division up to Thursday.

This, he said, was a notable reduction, when compared with 307 committed during the same period in 2023.

Superintendent Minto promised that the police will continue their efforts to put a lid on criminal activities.
