Radio Jamaica News has been informed that charges are to be laid later this week against two of the three suspects held in connection with the last month's fatal shooting of two policemen along Waltham Park Road in St. Andrew.
A third suspect, a 17-year-old boy, was questioned and released by detectives of the Major Investigation Division.
One of the suspects was positively identified in an identification parade on Friday.
The second suspect is to face an ID parade this week.
Constable Charles Stewart, who was attached to the Spanish Town Police and Constable Jemarey Gordon, attached to the Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigations Branch (C-TOC) were fatally shot on November 13 at their business place at 83 Lane, off Waltham Park Road in St. Andrew.
The police say the constables were engaged in a conversation with the three suspects about them parking stolen motor vehicles in front of the premises when an altercation ensued.
During the argument it is alleged that one of the men pulled a firearm and fired several shots at the officers, hitting them in the upper body.
The suspects fled the scene on foot.
The police say the suspects, who are alleged members of the Dust City Gang, are also part of a car stealing ring operating within the Corporate Area.
