Constable arrested at Whithorn police station, accused of smuggling contraband into cellblock

A police constable was arrested after he was caught attempting to smuggle contraband into the Whithorn lockup in Westmoreland on Saturday.
It's reported that, sometime before 3 o'clock in the afternoon, the police constable, who was on cell guard duty, entered the holding area with a bag in his hand. 
Another police officer, who was on station supervision duty, saw him standing at the entrance of the cellblock with the bag and decided to search it. 
The bag reportedly contained  forty cigarettes, a plastic water bottle with liquid smelling like rum, two packs of rizla rolling paper, three lighters, a SIM card and 10 ounces of ganja. 
The incident is being investigated.
