Two police constables were among four men taken in custody in relation to an attempted robbery at a bar in East Kingston this morning.
Two firearms and several rounds of ammunition were seized.
It’s reported that shortly after 3am, a team from the Windward Road Police Station was on patrol when two men were seen on the road.
The men reportedly told the police they were awaiting transportation to St Thomas.
According to information reaching Radio Jamaica News, the two policemen were seen waiting in a car nearby.
The police say two padlocks at a bar across the road were tampered with.
The cops and the two civilians were taken into custody.
