Councillor calls for extended curfew in Norwood

There is a call for an extension of the curfew in Norwood, St. James to stem the flare up of gang violence in the area.
 
The curfew, in place since Wednesday, is set to end at 6 o'clock Friday evening.
 
Joshua Cummings, Councilor for the Montego Bay Central division, says residents are fearful.
 
He wants a two-day extension of the curfew. 
 
The police say there was a double murder in the community on Saturday and a drive-by shooting on Sunday which left one person dead and two injured.
 
The police say gangs are fighting over turf and proceeds from the lottery scam.
