The police have imposed a 24 hour curfew
in some commercial and residential areas in St. Mary and Manchester.
The curfew orders, which will remain in effect until Friday evening were granted in the wake of the passage of Tropical Storm Gustav.
In St. Mary, the curfew starts at Stennet Street runs east to the National Housing Trust, west from Hudson Street to the Civic Centre via the market, south on Main Street from the Courts Furniture store, to the court house and Warner Street.
It extends to Annotto Bay starting at the fire station on Main Street and runs to the Texaco Gas Station.
Areas covered by the curfew in Manchester include sections of Mandeville, Christiana, Spalding and Porus.
