The body of a man was found in the vicinity of the Caribbean Broilers property in Steerfield, Claremont, St. Ann on Wednesday morning.
The deceased is 21-year-old Peter John, a customer service representative, of Drax Hall in the parish.
The body had a bullet wound to the head.
It's suspected that Mr. John was killed along the Trafalgar main road between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
Reports are that about 10 o'clock, security guards were patrolling the perimeter fence of the Caribbean Broiler's property when they stumbled upon the body of the young man.
The police were alerted.
