Dominica been included in the list of countries whose citizens are eligible to participate in the 2026 edition of the United States' Diversity Immigrant Visa Program, popularly known as the "Visa Lottery."
A statement from the US State Department said registration for the lottery opened on October 2 and will close on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
During the annual programme, the US government grants up to 55,000 diversity visas to allow permanent residency to people from countries with low immigration rates to the United States.
The State Department determines those selected through a random computer drawing. Results will be announced in May next year.
