GraceKennedy, one of the Caribbean's largest conglomerates, has announced changes to its leadership, effective next month.
Don Wehby is retiring as Chief Executive Officer, effective February 14. He will also step down from the group's board of directors.
Mr. Wehby joined GraceKennedy in 1995 and was appointed Group CEO in 2011.
During his tenure, the company more than doubled in size with revenue moving from $58 billion in 2011, to $155 billion in 2023.
Last November, Mr. Wehby resigned as a Senator, shortly after taking temporary leave of absence from GraceKennedy due to health reasons.
Mr. Wehby will be replaced by Frank James, the current CEO of the group's Domestic Foods Division.
Mr. James joined GraceKennedy in 2005 as Vice President for Strategic Planning & Corporate Development, before moving through the ranks to his current position.
The company says the leadership changes are in keeping with its succession plan and are designed to ensure continuity and drive future growth.
