Escaped inmates continue to elude police

Despite an intense manhunt over the past 72 hours the security forces have not been able to find any of  the five prisoners who escaped from the Portmore Police lock-up.

The men, who are facing charges ranging from robbery with aggravation to murder, cut their way out of  the lock-up early Friday morning.

The St. Catherine South Police say they have not found any clues to the their whereabouts.

Those on the run are 18 year old Amir Hanson, otherwise called 'Pastor' of  Portmore Villa, Portmore; 19 year old Andrew Edwards, otherwise called 'Boasy Thief' of  Gregory Park, 33 year old Marvin Barnett, otherwise called Stripe of  Spanish Town, 31 year old Marlon Jomo Barnett, otherwise called 'Shortman' of  Gregory Park and 34 year old Oshane Thomas of  Braeton.

The police are urging anyone who has seen the men or know of  their location, to contact the Portmore Police at 949-8422, the 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
