A murder charge has been laid against the ex-soldier accused of the shooting death of his mother-in-law and the wounding of his estranged wife in 2013. He was charged on Wednesday and faced the May Pen Resident Magistrate's Court.
Wilbert Pryce, otherwise called "Jason" is accused of the shooting death of 45 year old Maxine Fearon on February 24, 2013 in Bryan's Hill, Clarendon.
A week later, he contacted our news centre asking to tell his side of the story. He said he was forced to defend himself after his father-in-law called residents into the yard as he talked with his estranged wife's mother.
As for the serious wounding of his estranged wife, Tamara, the judge dismissed that case because Mrs. Pryce has not been co-operating with investigators by giving statements or attending court.
