Five, including teen, charged in relation to robbery at UWI

The four men and a teenager who were arrested with the assistance of  Jamaica Eye monitors, following a robbery at the University of the West Indies on March 11, have been charged.
 
They have been identified as: Keyshaw Robinson and Ryan Nelson, both 19 year-old labourers of Red Hills Road, St. Andrew; 20 year-old Ricardo Lee of  White Hall Avenue, St. Andrew; Coliah Johnson a 23 year old chef from Lyndale Avenue, St. Andrew and a 17 year-old boy.
 
A news release from the police Tuesday afternoon said the men have been charged with robbery with aggravation, illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition and receiving stolen goods.
 
It was reported that a man went to the Papine Police Station to report that he was held at gunpoint and robbed of his laptop computer and other devices. 
 
The cops used information from the Police Emergency Communication Centre, CCTV footage from Jamaica Eye and tracking information to intercept the robbers in a car at the intersection of South Avenue and Constant Spring Road in St. Andrew.
 
The suspects were arrested and two guns as well as 40 rounds of  ammunition allegedly seized. 
 
A laptop computer and several cellular phones were also found inside the vehicle.
