Heavy rain since Tuesday has resulted in blocked roads and flooding in two eastern parishes.
Residents of Mount Vernon Gap in St. Thomas are marooned as the main road has been rendered impassable due to a landslide.
A team from the National Works Agency has been mobilised to clear the road.
Residents of Claverty Cottage in Portland also told Radio Jamaica News that their access road has been blocked by large boulders from landlsides.
In addition, springs have overflowed onto the road resulting in flooding.
A resident, Danny Tyrell, said the area is also without electricity.
He said the municipal corporation is trying to procure equipment to clear the blocked roads.
The Meteorological Service says there is a Trough across Jamaica.
The system is expected to remain across the island through Thursday.
