A strong police/military presence is expected in Central Village, St. Catherine on Tuesday following the discovery of the bodies of four people, including two children in a house that was firebombed.
The bodies of a woman, her two daughters and grandson were found on First Avenue sometime before 2 o'clock Tuesday morning.
Superintendent Dennis Lyon, Divisional Commander for the St. Catherine Fire Brigade, said firefighters were called to the area about 1:45 and found a three bedroom house engulfed in flames.
"During the firefighting operations, observation was made of the bodies of thee individuals on the veranda of the dwelling. After the cooling down operation and the team entered the building, the fourth body was found in the bathroom," he reported.
First Avenue in Central Village was featured in two other violent attacks Monday morning.
A man was fatally shot and his house firebombed and a woman was shot and wounded while sitting outside her house.
