Fraud squad probes fraud allegations at Union

The Fraud Squad has been called in to probe allegations of fraud at the National Workers Union (NWU).

Deputy Superintendent Anthony McLaughlin, who heads the Fraud Squad, told RJR News that the squad was called in two weeks ago by Vincent Morrison, NWU President..

It’s alleged that over an unspecified period, Union dues were paid but failed to reach the coffers of the organisation.

Morrison confirmed that he had written to the police, however, he declined to give details, only stating that the union is awaiting the outcome of the police investigation.
