Leader of Government Business Senator Kamina Johnson Smith
Government Senators are expressing support for Prime Minister Andrew Holness, as he faces mounting pressure from the parliamentary opposition and civil society groups in relation to the probe into his statutory declarations.
In a statement Thursday, Leader of Government Business Senator Kamina Johnson Smith said government senators strongly reject what she describes as dangerous, partisan, misleading and desperate coordinated attacks on the Prime Minister.
Senator Johnson Smith says despite a prolonged investigation including the hiring of an international financial accountant, the Integrity Commission did not conclude the Prime Minister acted unlawfully or unethically.
