Gowdie claims self defence in killing of Shango Jackson

38 year old Huey Gowdie the man charged with the shooting death of  Operations Manager for Sparkles Production, Shango Jackson, will have to wait until next week to hear if  he will be granted bail.

When the case came up in the Half  Way Tree Gun Court yesterday it was adjourned until August 15.

Police investigators said they needed more time to complete their probe into the shooting.

The attorney representing Mr. Gowdie has argued that his client was acting in self  defence when he shot Mr. Jackson.

It was reported that on July 12, Mr. Jackson went to his house on Shenstone Drive in Beverly Hills where his estranged wife also resides.  

During an argument Mr. Gowdie reportedly hit Mr. Jackson three times in the face. 

He then allegedly pulled a firearm and shot him twice.

Reports are that Mr. Jackson was unarmed.
