Olivia "Babsy" Grange, Opposition Spokesperson on Culture, on Tuesday gave notice of a motion related to the guidelines for the use of Jamaica’s national emblems and symbols.
The Minister argued that the government needed to continue the work of an inter-ministerial committee formed by the previous administration.
Miss Grange said there should be the formulation of policy guidelines for the management and regulation of the use and display of national symbols and emblems. She added that a related handbook should be considered.
Her notice of the motion came on the heels of German firm, Saturn, issuing an apology for its display of the Jamaican flag being burnt and trampled on in a commercial
