Grenada: Gov't workers yet to receive salary increases - Grimes

President of Grenada Public Workers Union, Brian Grimes, says several contracted workers employed by the government are yet to receive the increase in their salaries following the signing of a new collective agreement back in June.

According to the agreement, government workers are to receive a 13 per cent salary increase, with four percent paid this year and 2024 and a further five per cent in 2025.

The 2023 national budget, which was presented in December last year, made provision for the expected increase of four percent.

The 2024 national budget will be presented to Parliament on December 4.
