Grenada: Labour unions want speedy conclusion to 2023-2025 wage negotiations

Two of the labour unions negotiating for a wage increase on behalf of Grenada's public sector workers are calling for the 2023–2025 negotiations to be completed quickly.

A joint statement from the Public Workers Union and the Grenada Technical and Allied Workers Union called for a speedy resolution to avoid incurring large payments for lengthy retroactive periods.

The unions are requesting an increase of eight per cent for 2023 and 2024 and nine per cent for 2025. However, the government's counteroffer is four per cent for 2023, and two percent for 2024 and 2025.
