The General Directorate of Haiti's National Office of Civil Aviation has banned all private aircraft from flying as the investigation continues into Wednesday's deadly crash of a small plane on a road.
At least five people were killed in the crash and several others injured.
No indication was given as to how long the ban will be in effect.
The investigation comes amid media reports that the Cesna 207 was operating illegally.
Media reports quote the Director of National Office of Civil Aviation, Laurent Joseph Dumas, as saying that the private plane which regularly provided the Port-au-Prince to Jacmel connection had been operating without a permit to carry out commercial flights.
