Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has announced her support for US Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic candidate in the presidential election in November.
Mrs. Pelosi described her backing for the Vice President as official, personal and political.
Ms. Harris on Monday morning made her first public appearance since President Joe Biden left the 2024 race on Sunday.
More leading Democrats are backing her as the party's new presidential nominee, as her campaign sees a surge in donations.
