The Manatt/Dudus Commission of Enquiry continues Friday morning with head of the Legal Unit at the Jamaica Defence Force, Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Cole again taking the stand.
He is to undergo further cross examination about his role in the Manatt Affair.
Colonel Cole gave revealing testimony Thursday, which further contradicted statements from Justice Minister Dorothy Lightbourne about the events of the day before the official request for Christopher Coke's extradition was forwarded to the Government.
Facing questions from K.D. Knight QC, Colonel Cole's testimony indicated at least two contradictions to Minister Lightbourne's version of what happened.
Fireworks also erupted when Frank Phipps QC, asked Colonel Cole to disclose the identity of the head of the Military Intelligence Unit.
His attorney Linton Gordon as well as lawyers for the People’s National Party objected, pitching the proceedings into heated debate.
Eventually, Chairman Emil George ruled that the Commission's Secretary should apply to the Defence Board, which is to decide whether the head of the Unit can be named.
