Holness demands improved performance from his MPs

Prime Minister Andrew Holness

With his party trailing in the polls, Prime Minister and Leader of the Jamaica Labour Party Andrew Holness has again called for improved performances from JLP Members of Parliament across the island.

Mr Holness recently affirmed that the poll results were a wake-up call to members of his party going into the general election, due next year.

Addressing supporters at a meeting in Clarendon North Central Sunday night, Mr Holness said he was concerned that the party lost the Mocho division, one of its largest strongholds, in the last Local Government Election.

He urged the incumbent MP, Robert Morgan, to ensure that the division returns to the JLP in the general election.
