A hotel worker was shot dead outside the Riu Palace Hotel in Negril, Westmoreland, Monday night.
He has been identified as 48-year-old Rohan Simpson, otherwise called 'Tyson', a chef supervisor of Cave district, Westmoreland.
Reports from the police are that about 10:20, Mr. Simpson completed his shift and was entering his car when he was attacked by men travelling in a white Toyota Axio motor car.
The men exited their vehicle and opened fire, hitting Mr. Simpson several times before fleeing the scene.
Mr. Simpson was pronounced dead at hospital.
