The taxi operator who was caught on a viral video smashing the glass of a Mitsubishi Pajero motor vehicle and attacking the driver during a road rage incident along Half Way Tree Road on Friday, has been charged.
Assistant Commissioner Gary McKenzie, Commanding officer for the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch (PSTEB), said the unlicensed taxi operator, Peter Bramwell, was charged following an investigation into the incident.
It was reported that Mr. Bramwell got into a rage and smashed the glass on the driver's side of the Pajero motor vehicle following a collision.
Mr. Bramwell, who was driving a Toyota Probox, also pulled a machete and wounded the driver of Pajero.
ACP McKenzie said Mr. Bramwell, who has more than three dozen warrants out for his arrest, has been slapped with a long list of charges.
"He is facing several charges to include disorderly conduct, malicious destruction of property and assault [occasioning bodily] harm. We have also found four traffic warrants for Mr. Bramwell, to include operating motor vehicle without a road licence, no motor vehicle insurance coverage, failing to obey police command and obscured registration plate. There are also 40 other warrants that have been ordered and we are waiting to collect them and they will be collected and executed on him," he disclosed.
He said Mr. Bramwell also has 61 outstanding traffic tickets.
