The General Legal Council has suspended attorney-at-law Isat Buchanan from legal practice for two years.
Buchanan pleaded guilty in November to breaching ethics rules that guide the conduct of attorneys authorised to practice in Jamaica.
The breach was in relation to offensive comments he made against Director of Public Prosecutions Paula Llewellyn in July, while co-hosting an online show.
His suspension will end on December 5, 2025.
He has also been fined $500,000, and is to pay a further $20,000 to the General Legal Council.
