Days after Jamaica Labour Party leader Prime Minister Andrew Holness admitted that some Members of Parliament have fallen short in their duties, scores of supporters from North West St. Elizabeth are calling for the removal of JC Hutchinson.

Clutching placards, constituents demonstrated outside his office in Lacovia on Wednesday morning.

Supporters have vowed not to return to the polls unless the veteran politician is replaced.

The supporters say they are frustrated with the lack of representation for more than two decades:

"Over the years him inna power and I don't see what he is doing in North West St. Elizabeth, so him must go. Him time expire, so him must go mek a younger set come and take him seat. The last election, I don't vote fi Hutchie. So the next election... I will never vote if him nuh come out. We get fed up a Hutchie. Hutchie must go!" said Patsy Morris, a resident of Carisbrook in St. Elizabeth.

The constituents say they will continue protesting until Prime Minister Holness addresses the issue.
