JTA President wants Government to tie teacher retention with Vision 2030

President of the Jamaica Teachers Association Dr Mark Smith is calling for greater emphasis on the retention of teachers to achieve the ideals of vision 2030. 
 
The mission of Vision 2030 is for Jamaica to achieve key standards of development in a number of critical areas. 
 
Dr Smith, addressing a meeting of delegates of the Association in St. Mary recently, said the government needs to provide financial incentives to retain teachers in the system.
