Culture Minister Lisa Hanna is maintaining that the sum earmarked to finance the Jamaica 50 celebrations was not budgeted for by the previous Jamaica Labour Party government.
Yesterday, Opposition Spokesman Olivia Babsy Grange quizzed Miss Hanna on how she arrived at the projected sum of two point five billion dollars.
But Ms Hanna insisted that the Jamaica 50 programmes that were designed by the previous administration far exceeded the amount that was set aside in the Estimates of Expenditure.
