Leighton "Livity" Coke, the brother of former Tivoli Gardens strongman Christopher "Dudus" Coke is expected to go on trial in the Gun Court on Tuesday.
"Livity" is charged with illegal possession of a firearm and shooting at members of the security forces during the military incursion in Tivoli Gardens in May.
He is also charged with the unauthorized wearing of a Jamaica Defence Force uniform.
Investigators alleged that he twice shot at security personnel during the operation to capture his brother.
During his last appearance in court in October, he was denied bail following strong objection from the prosecution and police.
But Mr Coke's attorney, Peter Champagnie, argued that his client had surrendered to the police and this is sending the wrong message to persons who turn themselves in that they will be kept for a long time without bail.
