The players of several games of chance will now be able to play these games on public holidays and on Sundays.
In February, Finance Minister, Dr. Peter Phillips announced the change while disclosing increased taxes on the betting and gaming sector.
Supreme Ventures, the operators of popular games such as Lotto, Super Lotto, and Cash Pot, said it will also extend it's four daily game draws throughout the week, excluding Christmas Day and Good Friday.
The games will be included in the new tax rates on the betting and gaming sector, which took effect on Monday. The revenue measure is expected to yield J$1.5 billion dollars.
Supreme Ventures has announced that the increases in lottery taxes will not affect the current prices of its games.
