Louis Chin, Mayor of Morant Bay and Chairman of the St. Thomas Municipal Corporation
The new mayor of Morant Bay and chairman of the St. Thomas Municipal Corporation, Louis Chin, was sworn-in on Thursday.
His deputy is Councilor Michael McLeod of the Dalvey Division.
The mayor and his deputy were among the ten councillors elect of the St. Thomas Municipal Corporation following the February 26 local government election.
The Jamaica Labour Party, with six of the ten councillors, took back the reins of the corporation after the People's National Party held the majority following the death of deputy mayor Lenworth Rawle in October 2022.
