Head coach of Campion College Ryan Martell said having played St Catherine High before in the Under-19 urban area final and despite beating them, he made some tweaks for the all-island semi-final against the same opposition at GC Foster College on Tuesday.
The unbeaten Campion College came away 63-52 winners. John-Mark Tapper led the way for Campion with 14 points and 17 rebounds, while Ryheem Martell and James Payne scored 13 and 12 points, respectively. Tyrich Brown had a game-high 25 points for St Catherine.
Meanwhile, St George's College got the better of Camperdown at the same venue, winning 57-45 to advance to the all-island U16 final. Diedrich Miller and Barrington Dennis had 14 points each for STGC, while Henry Leconte scored 15 points and had 17 rebounds for Camperdown.
Both teams will know their opponents on Thursday, as the games scheduled for STETHS on Tuesday, were postponed due to the inclement weather.
Rural area U19 champions Manchester High and Herbert Morrison will do battle, while the U16 match-up will be between rural champions Manchester High and Ardenne High. Both games will be played at GC Foster College.
