A man was arrested and charged after he was seen in a viral video assaulting the mother of his child at a graduation ceremony in Brown's Town, St. Ann on Wednesday.
Gary Grant, 43, otherwise called 'Jawbone', of a Brown's Town address, was charged with assault occasioning bodily harm after a report was filed with the police.
Reports are that about 12:30 p.m., Mr. Grant was at a graduation exercise for his son at an infant school.
The child received awards for academic excellence.
Mr. Grant reportedly requested of the mother to see the certificates, when an argument developed.
The video shows the woman being slapped in the face and kicked in her stomach by an irate Mr. Grant.
He was taken to Brown's Town Police Station where he was charged and given bail with surety.
Mr. Grant is to attend court in September.
