Man’s body found in Kingsgate Anchovy

The Montego Bay Police are trying to establish if the man whose body was found on Thursday morning in Kingsgate Anchovy was linked to a car theft in the city on Wednesday night.

The dead man remains unidentified but his body was found several feet from a Toyota Corolla motorcar which was stolen at gunpoint from another man.

It is understood that about 9 o'clock Wednesday night in Bogue Hill a group of men traveling in a Toyota Corolla motorcar blocked the path of another Toyota car popularly called Kingfish.

One of the men emerged with a gun and held up and robbed the Kingfish driver of his vehicle, but he managed to elude them.

Then several hours later in the wee hours of Thursday morning residents of neighbouring Kingsgate in Anchovy heard explosions and summoned the police.

After combing the area for a while they came up on the man's bullet riddled body about 8:00.

It was lying on the back close to an abandoned house and about 10 feet from the stolen motorcar.

It was clad in a red sleeveless jersey, yellow shorts and brown slippers and had a cornrow hairstyle.
