Margaret Jobson appointed Ambassador to Germany

Jamaica has a new Ambassador to Germany. Margaret Jobson has been appointed to the post. She will begin her tour of duty within the next two months. The Ambassador-designate is currently the Under Secretary for the Foreign Service Operations Division, with responsibility for Corporate Services, Protocol and Diaspora as well as Consular Affairs.

Prior to her entry into the Foreign Service in 2003, Mrs. Jobson was a Consultant/Agency Coordinator for seven years with the Public Sector Modernisation Project at the Cabinet Office.

Mrs. Jobson also spent 11 years with the United Nations Development Programme leaving as the National Programme Officer for Jamaica as well as the Turks and Caicos Islands.
