Chairman of the Kingston & St Andrew Municipal Corporation and Mayor of Kingston Andrew Swaby has issued a warning against any attempt to undermine the Integrity Commission.
The Integrity Commission has been holding workshops with members of the Corporation to improve accountability.
Mr Swaby, addressing the latest monthly meeting of the municipal corporation, stressed that the Commission plays a vital role in holding public officials to account and any attempt to weaken or discredit its work threatens the foundation of good governance.
The mayor warned that any attempt to undermine the work of the Commission will negatively affect the country's reputation.
