Men linked to attack on Spanish Town police Station named

The St. Catherine North Police Division has named two men as persons of interest in connection with Thursday night’s attack on the Spanish Town Police Station by gunmen said to be linked to the Klansman gang.

Chaos and pandemonium erupted in the old capital shortly after 7:00 p.m. as the criminals went on a shooting spree.

They reportedly used a 45 minute power outage as a cover to launch an attack on the Spanish Town Police Station.

They fired fire shots on the building for an extended period but none of the police personnel on duty was injured.

Several shooting incidents also occurred in Spanish Town and its environs.

Those named as major persons of interest in connection with the attacks are Sheldon Wilson otherwise called 'Nana' of Rivoli in Spanish Town and Nigel Hanson, otherwise called 'Nigel' of a De La Vega City also in Spanish Town.

The police say Mr. Wilson and Mr. Hanson must report to the Spanish Town Police Station by 6:00 p.m. Friday March 11, 2011.

And the St. Catherine North Police are still searching for alleged Klansman gang members Amal Roman otherwise called 'Satan' and Navardo Hodges also known as 'Dee Jay'.

The police are calling on persons with information on their whereabouts to call Operation Kingfish at 811; Police Control Centre at 119, and Crime Stop at 311.

A reward totalling $500,000 - $250,000 each – is still being offered for their arrest and charge.
