The Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA) is carrying out several operations in the Corporate Area and St. Catherine in relation to a major cybercrime investigation.

Director of Communication at MOCA Major Basil Jarrett spoke with Radio Jamaica News from one of the locations in St. Andrew.

"The agents have so far conducted a search of these particular premises. Similar searches are being conducted at the other locations and we expect to speak to a number of individuals who we believe are involved in the crime."

Despite being tight-lipped about the investiation, which he said was at a delicate stage, Major Jarrett confirmed that a "massive cybercrime" had been perpetrated.

He said one man at the St. Andrew residence was arrested for an unrelated matter.
