Motor vehicle licence and registration fees are also going up today, June 1.
It will now cost 10 thousand, five hundred dollars to license a vehicle with ratings of between 1199cc and 2999cc.
The registration fees of all other classes of vehicles have also been increased by 50 percent.
Licence plate fees for all types of vehicles have also been increased, resulting in the price of a private plate moving from 15 hundred dollars to two thousand, two hundred and fifty dollars.
It will also cost more for drivers licences, with private driver's licence fees moving from three thousand to four thousand, five hundred dollars and general driver's licence fees moving from four thousand to six thousand dollars.
The fees for all other types of motor vehicle related transactions, including application for titles, certificate of fitness and transfer of ownership, have also been increased.
