Murders and sexual offences continue to rank high in the Home Circuit Court in Kingston.
Statistics collated by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions show that the Michaelas Term opened with 794 cases.
Some 682 of the cases traversed from the Easter Term.
According to data presented in court Monday morning, murder accounts for 387 cases on the list while sexual offences account for 234 cases.
There are 96 new committal cases.
But this number will increase as new cases are transferred from parish courts.
Of the sexual offence cases, 96 relate to having sexual intercourse with a person under 16 years old.
In addition, there are 11 gang matters on the list.
Sixteen matters are set for sentencing.
