Easton Taylor-Farrell
The new premier of Monsterrat, Easton Taylor-Farrell, was sworn into office Tuesday after leading the Movement for Change and Prosperity (MCAP) to victory in Monday's general election.
The MCAP won five of the nine seats in the Legislative Assembly.
The People's Demographic Movement (PDM) won three seats.
According to preliminary results issued early Tuesday, outgoing premier, Donaldson Romeo, who was ousted as leader of the PDM, was the only successful independent candidate in the election.
