No ration on foreign exchange for investors, says Barbados central bank

The Central Bank of Barbados has sought to allay fears over the availability of foreign exchange for investors.

Concerns have been raised about investors being able to access foreign exchange for overseas investments.

Central Bank Governor Dr. Kevin Greenidge says that there was $3.2 billion in foreign reserves at the end of September, and a further $1.2 billion in foreign currency accounts in commercial banks and other deposit takers.

Dr. Greenidge says there is no policy of the government to ration foreign exchange or set up barriers to restrict investing overseas.
