Finance Minister Dr Nigel Clarke says work continues, to further strengthen the country's Anti-Money Laundering/Countering the Financing of Terrorism regimes.
This follows the country's removal from the Grey List by the Financial Action Task Force [FAT-F].
FAT-F's release stated that Jamaica strengthened the effectiveness of its AML/CFT regime to meet the commitments in its 13 point action plan regarding the strategic deficiencies.
Dr Clarke, speaking Friday on Radio Jamaica's Beyond the Headlines, said non profit organizations will have to be brought into the regulatory framework.
He added that the government will be plugging the legislative gap to deal with virtual assets, such as crypto currency.
