The administration of external exams locally will see significant improvements following the completion of a historic testing facility by the Overseas Examinations Commission (OEC).

The state-of-the-art facility, scheduled for completion in 2026, will be equipped with augmented and virtual reality labs, advanced testing rooms, and advanced computer labs.

The four-storey multipurpose facility is designed to operate without break and will serve as a digital hub, supporting the assessment, processing, and administration of exams in a modern and efficient manner.

During the recent groundbreaking ceremony, Education Minister Fayval Williams lauded the OEC's commitment to creating a world-class facility that will benefit Jamaica's education system.

The OEC says as it continues to expand its services and offerings, the new facility will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of education and assessment in the region.
