A man has been charged and several others are being sought by the St. Catherine North Police in relation to a recent gun attack at a wake in Point Hill, in the parish.
Eight people were shot, one fatally, when gunmen fired on a group of people who had gathered at the wake being held for the grandmother of reggae artiste, Christopher Martin.
O'neil Spencer, 34, a farmer from the community was killed in the attack.
Senior Superintendent Christopher Phillips, Commanding Officer for the Area 5 Police, who urged those being sought to surrender, confirmed that the man who was charged is among several people who were detained.
SSP Phillips was speaking at a press conference at the Spanish Town Police station Tuesday morning.
Deputy Superintendent Colin McKenzie, Crime Officer for St. Catherine North, revealed at the press conference that a prior conflict was behind the gun attack.
